Personal Statement

  •    At what might be considered the "later age" of 9 years old, I started in kid pitch with a strong team and grew quickly into a strong player. I immediately grew to be very fond of my newfound sport and I worked long hours day in and day out to become the player I am today whether it be before or after school, extended hours after practice, or lessons on my own. While playing softball I've grown to be a leader, learned how to be cooperative with all kinds of people, grown as an individual, and as a team player. In any sport, you learn a sense of responsibility, going through long hours staying awake to work on academics, juggling around sports, other extra-curricular activities, and home life, and as a softball player, I think that's one of the best things; finding balance within the chaos to find how to maintain a steady flow of activities. I've grown as a person to be strong and reliable to complete tasks given to me. I set high goals to push me, goals that I know I need to work for to get to. My dedication, work-ethic, and passion drives me to be the player I am today. I vocalize well, hustle, and push my teammates to be the best they can be.

Academically, I want to be challenged. I want to go beyond what I knew was possible and strive to be the best that I can be to get me to where I want to be in life. I want to keep my high GPA, even possibly raise it higher and I aim to have high SAT and ACT scores as well. I take pre-AP and AP classes to challenge myself in the classroom. For college, I want to be able to get into an academically strong school so that way even after I cannot continue my softball passion, I can have my academics backing me. I would like to receive a diploma that is meaningful in the way that it will pave a path for my life to follow after college.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
