Hello coaches, My name is Rebeca Rubio. I am a right handed pitcher/second base who is academically driven as well as athletically motivated. My collegiate goals and aspirations include becoming a D1 athlete, being academically successful, and achieving my future career goals. I am a good candidate for your team because I am respectful, have exceptional work ethic (I put in extra hours of practice) and goal oriented (I don't allow distractions to keep me from attaining my goals). I am self motivated and extremely coachable. My biggest strength is my ability to drown out negativity and maintain my focus on the task at hand. My biggest weakness is that I am my own worst critic and can be hard on myself (working on it though! :)). I think what makes me different from other recruits is that I have an outgoing personality that helps me connect with my peers, team, and coaches. I also prioritize my academics over all else to ensure my position on any sports team is not jeopardized and I am able to attain my career goals.
