My name is Miriah Medina; I am 17 year old and 5’8”. I’ve been playing softball since I was 4 years old. I’ve played on league teams and tournament teams. I’ve always loved to play softball and I would love to be able to play in college. I remember when I first wanted to start pitching and my mom let me try, I wasn’t doing well and my mom said maybe pitching isn’t for me that and I was great at fielding. Ever since then I felt I had to prove myself. I worked hard and I will continue to work hard to better myself. My mom now tells people that I set out to prove her wrong but it wasn’t about proving her wrong it was about proving to me that I could do it. Hard work, and dedication on the field and academically is important me. I know that’s what it takes to reach my goals in life. My best can always get better and that is where my ability to work hard will come into play.
