Personal Statement

I am a hard-working, left-handed first baseman.  I have been playing softball on a year-round basis since age seven.  My goal is to attend and play softball at a highly selective academic institution.  Though I am currently undecided on a major, I particularly enjoy science courses.  I am currently maintaining a High Honors average at the most rigorous academic high school in Houston.  I am currently taking a full course load of AP and Honors classes.  On the softball side, I have been the starter at first base on the varsity team since my first game as a freshman, regularly hitting in the middle of the lineup.  Our team won the Southwest Preparatory Conference Championship last year; I have been named to two consecutive All-SPC South Zone Teams; and I have been elected team captain for my upcoming senior year.  Outside of school and softball, my passions are music, voice, and travel, and I am active in my local church.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
