Alexis Holman '21 Recruiting Profile

Softball has been my passion since I started playing T-ball when I was 5 years old.   It is my desire to pursue that passion at the next level.   Growing up in a family full of coaches and athletes, I developed a love for sports at a young age.  My mom was a coach, so I literally grew up in a gym watching my older sisters compete in all sports.   My dad was an amazing baseball player and he was the driving force in developing my softball skills, coaching my little league teams.   Softball has always been my first love, even though I am a 3 sport varsity letterman.     

I feel that one of my greatest strengths is being coachable.   I felt it was an awesome compliment when my high school coach told me that I was coachable.   Another one of my strengths is my knowledge of the game.   I love to watch film and video and study the game.   It is my desire to continually improve my physical skills as well as increase my knowledge of the strategic aspects of the game.   

I am a straight A student and very conscientious about my grades.  I am currently 2nd in my class and hope to graduate as Salutatorian, if not Valedictorian.  Being raised in a family of educators, all the way back to my grandparents, academics is very important to me.  I believe that I not only have the necessary athletic talent to compete at the college level, but the academic strength, character, work-ethic and leadership skills to make an immediate impact on your program.   

My hope and desire is to find the perfect collegiate fit for me, both academically and athletically,  to pursue both my education and my love of playing the game of softball.
