Breana Carr '20 Recruiting Profile

Hello my name is Breana Carr. I am currently a student at Santa Gertrudius Academy High and will be a 2020 graduate.  I will be entering my senior year of high school.  I have been starting  centerfielder for the 2017 UIL State runner up Santa Gertrudius Academy Softball team  and my team  won the 2018 UIL state championship in Austin where we finished with an impressive record of 40-1.   I received 2nd team OF my freshman year, first team my sophomore and junior year. I was chosen as offensive player of the year in 2018, Hooks small school all star softball team 2017-2018, Corpus Christi Caller times athlete of the week 4-9-19, 2018 All-South Texas 1st Team, 2018 Texas Girls 3A All-State Softball Team. I have been playing softball since I was 5 and still love playing the game. I have been working hard since then and have continued to grow as a player. I am disciplined and always willing to learn new things that will improve my skills as a player. My goal is to play college softball and get my education.

    I also keep busy year round with my travel ball team and have been doing so since I was 5 years old.  My travel ball team is South Texas Prospects coached by Morgan Kirk.  I am also a centerfielder my travel team.  This Summer I plan to attend multiple camps and showcases from Portland to Dallas. Although softball is my passion I am also a 3 year Varsity cheerleader.  I keep busy year round and yet I am able to maintain a GPA of 3.78. I am a member of the national honor society.  I realize grades are important so no matter how late or how tired I am from either practice or a game my work will be done.  My goal has been to play softball for a college while getting a degree.  With the continued support of my parents and my dedication to work hard.  There is no doubt that I will accomplish my goals.
