Yadira Lopez '20 Recruiting Profile

Hi, My Name is Yadira Lopez but all my family and friends call me "Yadi". I am an athlete who knows the game of softball.  I started playing in T-ball, and have continued to this present day. I am a Sophomore  at a JUCO - Coastal Bend College in Beeville, TX. I played 3rd base a bit and finished with a batting Average .435. I received 2nd Team All Conference award and finish 3rd top batter in my region. After I complete my 2 years at CBC, I plan on transferring to a University to get Bachelors degree in Kinesiology, I plan to working hard to get scholarship to play the game I love and receive my education. 

I graduated from Santa Gertrudis Academy High School (SGA)  in  2020 from Kingsville, Texas. I played varsity for 4 years My Freshman year, we played in the UIL State Championship and lost. I was determined my Sophomore year to help my team reach State and take it one play at a time. I worked hard all year with my travel team and my High School team.  With all the my hard work, dedication, and great team, we reached the UIL State Championship and Won! Yay! I played 3rd base for my High School team. I received All State 3rd base and I also made the All State Softball Team. Junior Year we got to 3rd round play off and lost.. Senior Year was cut short due to Covid-19 Pandemic.

My goal is to get an excellent education while playing the sport I love.  I would like to become an Athletic Trainer/Occupational Therapist.  I would really like to stay in Texas ;however, I'm willing to keep my options open.  What I can offer any team is my dedication, hard work, determination, and team work. I am always willing to learn new things.
