My name is Abbigail Sanchez and I am a 5'4" hardworking, dedicated softball player. I am an athlete who knows the game of softball. My most important accomplishment this year was being a starter on the varsity softball team who helped my team win District and Bi-District. The previous year we won District, Bi-District and Area. Also, I earned 1st Team All-District this year for the second year in a row. As a freshman, I played on varsity and earned a letter for softball, but I also received an academic letter. This summer I will be playing with Team TFS NTX 18U-VanBrunt out of the DFW area.
Knowing that I'm capable of playing softball in college makes me more passionate for this sport. What I can offer to a team is the promise to always work hard and never give up. I am the first to go to the field and the last to leave. I am also a team player and encourage my teammates to be better and push themselves when they need that extra support and motivation.
When it comes to choosing what school I would like to go to, my options are many. I am looking mostly at central states ( Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, etc.), but I am very open to going anywhere. I am open minded about colleges and hope to find a college that fits me best. It doesn't matter about the size or location; if I can receive a good education and play softball. My top two choices for a major as of right now are either Dentistry or Pre-Medicine.
My realistic athletic goal is to continue playing the sport I love at a high competition level. Another goal of mine is to make an impact on the team and to future young girls of softball. At the end of the day I want to make a difference and keep working to be better than the day before.
