I have so much I could say about softball and why I chose to stick with this sport aside from every other sport my parents wanted to put me in, but first I want to mention my biggest role model that has always been in my life. This amazing woman is my grandma which I call her Bebe. She is a person that always sees the greater good in people especially me. Growing up I was attached at the hip with her and wanted to always be involved. That being said I am still always wanting to be involved in anything I do. She knows how to boost my confidence, so when I know I need to relax and take a deep breath I always remember what she taught me. I have learned to love this sport through how much mental toughness is needed in order to play. Not only that its also how many memories you are able to make in a short amount of time. Being able to make new friendships, learn new things, and to be yourself is such an amazing thing to have. I have learned so much about myself throughout many years of playing, but one thing that has always stayed with me after I realized this was how much dedication I have to this sport. I never knew how much dedication I could have towards something until my dad told me one day "your going to hit again", and even though it's not a big question he asked it was more of a realization to myself how much work I have put into wanting to be the best I can be. My goal has always been to play at the next level but more importantly was to go to a great school where I could get my degree and have a career in what I love.
