Emily Kaman '26 Recruiting Profile

Athletic. Fast. High Energy. Coachable. Good Teammate. Faithful. These are just a few words that describe me. My name is Emily Kaman and I will be a 2026 graduate. I LOVE playing softball, and I am looking for an opportunity to get a great college education while continuing to play the game I love. I play with the Corona Angels 18U Coleman team and have been playing in the Corona Angels Organization since the summer of 2019. I am a lefty slapper/hitter and a true utility player, as I play both middle infield and outfield. My current GPA is a weighted 4.0 and I was a multi-sport student-athlete the last 2 years, playing both basketball and softball in high school. 

I was selected as the CT Johnson HS "Female Athlete of the Year" for the 2nd consecutive year (4th consecutive year counting middle school 7th grade - 10th grade). I earned Academic All-District for both basketball and softball, I was voted Unanimous 1st Team All-District - 2nd Base, and I was selected as the "MVP" for my softball team, all for the 2nd straight year. I was selected as one of the Top 60 Athletes for the Class of 2026 and I competed in the Alliance Stars of Tomorrow Games for the 2nd consecutive year. It has been a great experience playing against some of the best girls from across the country. Last year, I finished ranked 14th out of those 60 girls, and this year I finished tied for 16th. While in Colorado, I played so well that I was selected to play in the TCS All-American All-Star Games, both last year and then again this summer. 

In select, my team won a berth to qualify for the Alliance Softball National Championships; we won the 2024 Colorado Sparkler - 16U Open Division; and we were 1 win away from making the Elite 8 in the Alliance National Championships. I lead my team in multiple offensive stats, including: 88 PA (1st), BA ~ 0.461 (2nd); OB% ~ 0.489 (3rd); 35 H (1st); 29 R (2nd); 0 Ks (1st); 16/17 SB (1st).

My goal is to be a difference-maker in ways that will help lead my teammates. I want to win a State Championship (& hopefully, a couple of National Championships). I would love to play in the Olympics and win a Gold Medal representing the USA. If I have an opportunity to play professionally, I'm all in!! Otherwise, I plan to study Kinesiology so I can become an athletic trainer for a professional sports team or possibly, a physical therapist. I am constantly working on my development to be both stronger and faster on the field, to be ranked among the top in the classroom, and to grow stronger in my faith. If given the chance, I won't disappoint you or let you down. Thank you!
