I am currently in my second season playing softball at Taft College, and I couldn’t be more excited about the opportunities this journey has opened for me. After stepping away from the game for a year, I realized just how much softball truly means to me. I’m grateful to Coach Clark at Taft College for believing in me and giving me the chance to return to the field and pursue my passion.
In my freshman year, I attended Utah Tech University in my hometown of St. George, Utah, on a music scholarship, balancing over 15 units each semester. Though I focused on academics during that time, I deeply missed the joy and camaraderie of playing softball. That time away from the game helped me rediscover my love for the sport, and now I’m determined to make the most of every opportunity I have to play.
As I approach the next phase of my academic and athletic career, I am looking to transfer to a four-year program where I can continue playing softball while earning my degree. I am academically a senior but retain three years of eligibility, including a redshirt year, which I am eager to use to compete, grow, and contribute to a new program.
I am pursuing a degree in Communication with a focus on Sports Communication and Public Relations, and my ultimate goal is to work with major sports media outlets such as Barstool or Bally Sports. The lessons I’ve learned on the field—teamwork, determination, and resilience—are skills I plan to carry forward in my future career.
Softball is more than a game to me; it’s a core part of who I am. It has shaped my work ethic, fueled my passion, and brought joy to my life. I can’t wait to post my highlights this season, share my progress, and find a program where I can continue growing both as an athlete and as an individual.
Thank you for taking the time to review my profile. Here’s to a great season ahead—Go Cougars!
