Lauryn Overton '23 Recruiting Profile

My goal in life is always to improve and expand my experience. From a young age I wanted the experience that would set me apart from everyone else. I am extremely outgoing and always pushing myself to be the greatest I can be. I want to succeed in college, not only in sports but academics as well, I want to set myself up for a future I will love. As an only child I have always loved being on a team or in group settings because it made me feel like I had my own little family. Playing volleyball for so many years has given me the confidence in my playing abilities, confidence in myself, and built me to who I am today. I love being the one on the team that anyone can look to and see a smile, or encourage them, or pick them up when they're down. I am always pushing myself to be better no matter what I am doing, especially with my grades and playing volleyball. Being on a team that supports each other and has a fantastic environment is something that is really important to me. I want to continue pushing myself and others to be the very best.
