I am a 5'8" 1st baseman from West Rutland, Vermont. I have started on the West Rutland Varsity team for 2 years. In 2017 my team was the D4 state champions and I was a DH.
For me, a college is somewhere to learn and, for some, to compete. Playing softball in college is one of my top priorities, next to earning a degree in law and maintaining good grades. Thankfully, I do not have many preferences on the location or size of the college, as it gives me a wider range of opportunities at several colleges. However, a smaller to medium sized school would be more comfortable for me to attend. Financial assistance is very important to me in the college selection process as my family will have a high need. Given the competition level I am at in my high school career, a DIII school would be ideal, but will definitely consider playing at the DII or NAIA level.
