My name is Elizabeth Bailey and I am a 6'1 post player from West Rutland, Vermont. I have been a starter on West Rutland School's varsity basketball team since my freshman year. In my 2018-2019 season (sophomore year), I led the MVL (Marble Valley League) "Small School" division in scoring (14.8 PPG), I was named to the Vermont Dream Dozen, and I was a Division 4 State Champion.
I am willing to explore my options when it comes to size and division of the college I will attend. I am mainly looking for schools in the northeast and midwest, but I am open to exploring any opportunity that presents itself. Financial assistance is fairly important to me when it comes to selecting a college. All in all, I am looking for a college that will fit my needs not only athletically, but academically as well where I can major in psychology.
I am beyond thankful for all of the great things my team and I, personally, have accomplished which have made me grow and mature as a basketball player. But, I feel that I matured as a player the most in between my freshman and sophomore basketball seasons when my team went to the semi-final game and lost to our rivals, ending our very successful season. This opened my eyes and made me realize that I needed to work hard to get to my best playing potential. I feel that I not only have the skills to compete at a college level, but I have the right mindset to be a solid post player at the next level.
