Like many girls, I have been playing softball since I was very young. I joined my first team when I was 5 years old and instantly loved it. I loved my teammates who soon became my family, I loved the coaches and how they always looked out for me, and most of all I loved the game. Softball has become a safe place for me; somewhere I can forget the stressors of the world and simply play the game. Not only am I a team player and a hard worker, but I am also an academic achiever. In addition to playing varsity softball throughout high school, I've joined many clubs and actually helped establish a new club at Annandale called The Equity Team (to create a more fair environment for the students who come from all different backgrounds). I am a straight A student, and when I graduate in 2022, I plan to start my path to becoming an international journalist. Playing softball in college is something I have looked forward to since I first understood what college was.
