Hello, my name is Braxten Jones. I am in the graduating class of 2023 and I attend East Rockingham High School in Elkton, Virginia. I can play all positions on the field, but I spend most of my time working hard to get better at first base, third base, and right field. I love when coaches put me in positions out of my comfort zone, if it means it’ll help my team succeed in the end. As an advanced diploma student who is ranked 2 out of 163 people in my class, deciding on a career field that I can strive at is something that I am very passionate about considering I know the importance of succeeding in the classroom just as much as in athletics. My goal is to graduate college with a degree in elementary education. Being in a career field where I can express myself through the work of helping others is something extremely important to me. I have been playing the game of softball since I was three years old. My love for the game continues to grow every time I step on the field. Even at a young age, I have always known that I wanted to play softball at the collegiate level. One of the many things that softball has taught me is to strive for a dream and never look back. My competitive nature and drive to become the best player I can be has helped me become a versatile athlete and many reasons I was selected to play Varsity level as a freshman. Being a part of your softball program would be beneficial because I’m hardworking, determined, coachable, motivated, and positive. I am a good leader who puts my teammates before myself as softball is a team sport and I would not be where I am today without their continued support and drive to make me a better softball player. Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile and I look forward to learning more about you and your softball program.
