Brianna Bowen '22 Recruiting Profile

My college goals align with the goals I have had for myself since I was eight years old, when I told my parents I wanted to play college softball and then go to the Olympics. Currently my collegiate goals include competing at a high level of softball while earning a degree in teaching and/or coaching. I have a dedicated, never give up kind of attitude that lends itself to my love of the game, my passion for pitching, and my perseverance to furthering my skills everyday. I also apply this dedication to my schoolwork where I have been in the Talented And Gifted program and am now currently taking college prep classes and Dual Enrollment courses at Greensville Co. High School. My parents have instilled in me a good work ethic, to be a responsible person, and to give back to my community. In addition to my dedication to softball I also volunteer my time to teach younger athletes and help them further their skills. I Have recently made the Varsity Volleyball team at my High school where I am the starting setter. I am also a Volunteer Firefighter alongside my dad at our local Fire Department. I have been a member of the Emporia-Greensville 4H for the past six years where  I am currently a 4H Summer Camp Counselor. I also hold a job as a waitress at our local pizzeria in my spare time. Through my experiences and continued growth as a student athlete I feel I would make a great addition to any softball program.
