Alexi Benson '19 Recruiting Profile

My desire is to play softball in college because I am not ready to give up this game. My goal is to be an All-American and win a National Championship at the collegiate level. Softball has been a part of my life since I fell in love with the game when I was eight years old. I participated in a lot of sports when I was little but softball is the one that made me feel the most like myself. It has always been my outlet to forget my stress and let loose. Taking my skills to the next level will be a dream come true and I will cherish every moment of it and play every pitch like it is my last. I will be an asset to my team because of what I can do on the mound. I am a quick thinker and I can handle multiple tasks at once. I am not afraid to ask questions and I am open to constructive feedback. I have played many positions but in the circle is where I have always felt the most comfortable. My command of the ball and mound presence is something that will help me reach success on and off the field. I am able to stay calm and confident in any situation and have good sportsmanship at all times. I am looking for division one and division two schools in Virginia and south of that. I am open to schools that are in other locations not too far from Virginia. I am also open to Texas and New York. I want to study international marketing in college and one day make a career out of interacting with different cultures.
