Being accepted to play softball in college has been my dream since I was young. I love the sport with all my heart and that is very evident when I play. Every ball that comes my way I give 110% to field it properly. Being on the field is like a home away from home where I can disappear from stress. I have played with girls that have excelled extremely and I look up to them. I push myself to play like them and to become better. By playing junior varsity and varsity softball as a freshman for my high school has given me these opportunities. Not only on the field do I push myself but also in the classroom. I take all advance core classes for my freshman year and plan to continue this throughout my high school years.
In my softball career, I have played on many different teams including travel and little league. My 8th grade year I was the starting shortstop on my high school, junior varsity team. This year as a freshman, I am on both junior varsity and varsity playing second base. I am the second batter in the line up and I consider myself as a power hitter.
As much as I love softball it is not the only sport I play. My 8th grade year I also played junior varsity basketball. This year I played junior varsity volleyball along with softball. I have multiple passions for each of these sports but I would like to pursue my softball career to the next level.
