My name is Alyssa Conner and I have been playing softball for almost 10 years. I love to work hard in the field but also in the gym for volleyball and basketball. I also compete for my school in a competition we hold called ODACS (Old Dominion Association of Christian Schools) as a singer in many choral groups and as a soloist. I also represent my school in these competitions as a band member in many ensembles. I also enjoy singing and playing the piano for my church's worship team. My goal for myself is to be able to excel in my sport and in the classroom at the collegiate level. My future career is not decided currently but will be in the Criminal Justice field or in the Nursing profession. I have learned many things about myself while playing softball. I have learned that softball is all about WE OVER ME. Softball is a team sport and everyone on the team is equal in importance. My goal every day is to always work hard and never give up. I have always gone with the mindset that you can learn something new about this sport every day. I take every day as a learning experience, and I work my hardest whenever I step onto the field. I think that I would be a good fit for any college who wants an athlete who never gives up, works hard, has a good attitude, and is always willing to learn and grow in the game of softball.
