Softball is my life. I live, sleep, eat, and breathe softball. It has provided me with many outstanding qualities which make me a strong asset for your team. I have played for the last 6 years, and it is who I am. I am a softball player, not just some kid who plays softball.
I play travel ball in the spring, summer, and fall. My weekends are spent traveling up and down the East Coast with my travel team, Virginia Glory 18U Knapp-Matice. Prior to joining Glory, I played for the TSI Lady Titans 14U Elite for one full year. Prior to joining the Lady Titans, I was a member of the 2017 USSSA 12U State Champions, Virginia Unity. During the winter I spend 3 days per week conditioning and training with my team for the spring/summer seasons which includes cardio and weights. I currently work with a hitting and catching coach. I am a Junior at Colonial Forge High School and was an all around Utility player on our Varsity squad. I earned my first year Varsity letter and the team's MVP Award or All-In Award! In the spring of 2020, I was selected to the Varsity squad again, but due to COVID19, we were unable to play.
When I was younger I trained in Young-Soo-Do. It is a cross between Korean and Japanese martial arts. I am also a member of my school drama team, show choir, ladies chorale, and attend Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) on a weekly basis. I am a member of Lifepoint church and attend our Youth Group (Tribe) on a weekly basis. These organizations taught me self-discipline and provided me the tools to keep working toward being the best at my craft. These skills have been applied over and over throughout my softball career. My attitude and perseverance to continually improve myself, have contributed toward the success of my team as a whole.
I am a strong student athlete with a passion for softball. I have great character, morals, and ethics. I do not quit and am mentally tough. I would be a great asset to your team as I get along well with all the members of my team and coaches. I have the utmost respect for each and every one of them. I follow and take direction and welcome constructive criticism. I continually push myself to work hard, better myself, and learn more. I am a positive thinker and have a great outlook and hope for my future. My years in sports, and especially softball have ingrained these things inside of me.
I look forward to finding a school which will provide an all-around college experience of a fantastic education and to pursue my dream of playing softball at the college level.
