My name is Nayome Shipp and I am a junior at Colonial Forge High School, looking to be a collegiate athlete once I graduate in 2021. I want to be a college track and field athlete because I have a passion for the sport. Track has taught me to work hard for what I want and never to give up. As an athlete, I think teamwork is very important, and it is essential to encourage your teammates on and off of the track. As a student athlete, I take my roles in athletics and academics very seriously, meaning I’m not only hardworking on the track, but in the classroom as well. I would love to propel in life with this sport and the next step to reaching my dreams is to dedicate my college years to being a student athlete. Throughout my time as a collegiate level athlete, I look forward to meeting new coaches and athletes with similar goals as myself.
