Personal Statement

Ever since I began playing softball, I knew that playing at the collegiate level was my goal for me.  Out of many aspects of the game, my true passion is catching, but i also play a mean first base and can cover a lot of ground in the outfield.  My devotion to TEAM, and hard work make me a valuable player on every team I've played on.  Another thing that makes me a STRONG recruit, is the fact that on both my travel teams and the one year I played Junior Varsity, I was selected by my coaches to be the team Captain. I've always liked to lead or be a leader, I also like or have a need of organization and an organization can't exits without strong leadership. Being a team captain and strong player, exposed me to the advance levels of the game, leadership and responsibility.  During my sophomore year I supported my varsity captain in all her assignments and assisted her in motivating our team, helping her in maintaining a solid organization.

Not only am I a great softball player, but I also excel in the classroom.  My GPA is a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and I plan to continue getting better during the rest of my junior year and push harder in my senior year.  I plan to attend a college that can challenge me both academically and athletically.  I plan to major in Psychology and later continue on to Law school.  I’ve always felt the need to defend the un-defendable,. well that’s what my Dad says, and I think it’s true, I don’t like injustice or abuse.

For the past three years I've played for the American Legion Post 290 14 and 16U fastpitch travel teams, the American Legion is a great organization that helps our veterans like my Dad.  Every year I volunteer to help lay Christmas wreaths at the Quantico National Cemetery and sever breakfast on Veterans and Memorial days at the legion hall.  I feel blessed to be able to participate in these events and help other that defend our freedom.  I think this will help me value our way of life, the need to help others and that there's always time for everything.

Thanks you for taking the time to review my profile, and I look forward to future communication.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
