Rory Rockwood '22 Recruiting Profile

The aspects of softball that I enjoy the most are the relationships with my teammates and the excitement of the game. Softball has taught me many life lessons about camaraderie, sportsmanship, and to value the many lessons that even losing can teach. My teammates describe me as energetic, positive and enthusiastic. I accomplish the most on and off the field when I am challenged and pushed and I have the most fun when I am diving in the dirt or sliding into the bases. I am naturally athletic and quick so last year (freshman) my coach turned me around to the left side of the plate and I have been gaining much success slapping and swinging away. My varsity coach awarded me “Most Improved” my freshman year where I was the starting catcher when we won the state championship. I bring a high level of energy to any team I am on, pushing everyone in a positive manner to excel. I have equally high expectations of myself academically and am still undecided about my career path.
