I would like my college experience to be a good balance between athletics and academics. The school I attend will be as competitive in the classroom as it is on the field.

Softball has given me so many great opportunities such as new friendships, the opportunity to travel, and many great life lessons. Through softball I have had the opportunity to not only meet but work with in accomplishing a coming goal with people from all walks of life, and backgrounds. Over the summer I had the chance to travel to Italy and play softball. I got to work with and compete against girls from Italy and Greece, even though we didn’t have much in common we were still able to communicate through softball. Through sports I have learned many life lessons, such as the importance of teamwork, hard work, perseverance and how to be confident and believe in myself.

Being a three-sport athlete has helped me find that balance between academics and athletics, through participating in volleyball and basketball while playing and practicing softball year-round. I have learned many skills such as leadership, competitiveness and time management that will help me to be successful in the future. Building relationships and being coachable are some of my stronger characteristics. Another reason I believe I have been so successful is because of my passion to excel, this shows in the classroom and on the sports fields.
