I began playing softball during my freshman year. I immediately found my passion in this sport, especially behind the plate. As an Army brat, I have grown to be adaptable and practically live outside my comfort zone. I think this is incredibly important in all aspects of life, but especially in softball. As a catcher, I never know what the next pitch is going to be. I need to be able to make split-second calls, while still thinking about where runners are, the count of outs and strikes, and how my pitcher is feeling.
I would describe myself as determined, open-minded, sympathetic, and a good leader. I have become extremely involved in my school and have balanced it well. Being a dual-athlete in three leadership positions, I am very comfortable with a busy schedule and with learning quickly. I love when my coaches critique me on my performance because I honestly can't wait to improve in this sport.
I know I have not been playing that long and my profile isn't necessarily impressive, but I am committed to learning and improving as much as I can. Thank you so much for considering me!
