Laly Gonzalez '21 Recruiting Profile

Hello, My name is Laly Gonzalez I am a Senior at Wahluke High School, Mattawa, WA. Mattawa is a small town, so there's not much opportunities, so I try to get myself out there. I was the first female to ever place high at state for wrestling, I placed 2nd as a freshmen. I have also been a varsity starter in softball ever since my freshmen year. I did so much my first year in high school, so there was some pressure going on, but I tried to keep calm and try my best to be better. I always try to do better for my team, I also play soccer and I took the risk to play a different position on the field to help my team succeed, I usually play left defense, so when they told us that we were missing a goal keeper which I have never played before I decided to take the spot so we had a full team. I did that, so my team knew I wasn't being selfish and wanted to help the team. I want to play sports because it makes me a better person and better teammate. Thank you!
