My name is Erin Fennell and I am a Senior and attend the FLVS program ( Florida Virtual School ). For the last 10 years I have been committed to fast pitch softball starting with little and shortly, travel ball. I really enjoyed the structure of my travel team's practices which are prepared to be more difficult than the actual games. The high energy of all the softball team's events match my passion for my primary position of center field - I like to utilize my God given talent of speed!
Knowing that I have the ability to play softball in college makes me more driven for those extra practices with my dad and to put more work in. I want to be the best possible teammate as the camaraderie of my fellow players is vital for personal growth and success. It has been a huge benefit for me to play on teams where my teammates want to be successful at school/grades.
When it comes to choosing what college I would like to go to, I am still open to the right fit. I would say with moving to Florida by Tampa, it would be nice to be close to my family. It doesn't matter about the size; if I can receive a good education and play softball I will be happy. My top two choices for a major as of right now are either Art or Interior Design. However, my major may change over in college as I know that is common.
I made the varsity softball team as a freshman, even though we only had 2 total practices because of Covid and as a sophomore I was the starting center fielder but was very sad to half most of my softball high school career ruined as in Washington state, a lot of the last 3 seasons were cancelled or shortened.
Thank you for reading my bio and please let me know if you have feedback.
