My name is Alicia Lemus. I am a senior at Parkersburg south high school.
I developed a love for softball when I was 10 years old. I have played many sports over the years but I’ve always been passionate about softball. I lost my father when I was 10 years old. My love for softball grew because I wanted to play for my dad and make him proud. As the years went on I realized I wasn’t just doing it for my dad, I was doing it for me. I want to accomplish many things and be better for myself.
Softball is way more than just a game to me, it’s taught me so many lessons throughout life. It’s taught me to work hard for what I want, and never give up, and to be myself. I’ve learned to appreciate the little things and to be grateful for what I have. I’ve been through many obstacles in life, ups and downs, but I never let them break me down.
My goals for college are to study in the medical field, and become a pediatric nurse. I love helping people in anyway that I can. I think I would be a great asset to the team because I’m very hard working and passionate about what I love. I have a good attitude and I’m a fast learner. I’m always willing to do what’s best for my team. I would love to further my softball career and get the chance to play at the next level.
