Raegen Omernik '23 Recruiting Profile

I am a 3 sport athlete that loves to compete. Softball has always been my favorite sport to play. I love the atmosphere of being on the field, the speed of the game, getting dirty to make a play, and celebrating victories with my teammates. Whether it’s game day or practice, being on the field is my favorite place to be.

I have played softball with my travel team since I was 8-years-old. Throughout the years, I have been asked to fill different roles to meet the changing needs of our team.  I enjoy pushing myself to take on these new challenges and do whatever it takes to reach our team goals.  “Practice the way I want to play” is the focus I bring with me to every practice. I apply that same work ethic in the classroom as well.  I strive to give my best everyday and I will encourage and support the same from my teammates. I challenge myself, whether in the classroom or on the field, to utilize my strengths and work to improve my weaknesses.

My goal is to find a college where I can explore career possibilities, continue my love of the game, and be a true part of the campus. I want to continue to improve my skills and be the best student athlete I can be. I would like to branch out and meet new people to begin a new adventure. I want to be part of a healthy team environment. I want to be there for my teammates and have them be there for me. When I graduate college, I would like to be left with some of the best memories of my life.
