Samantha Mecklenburg '20 Recruiting Profile

I am a leader, many people have to me that not only on the field but off the field.  One reason I think I am is because I like to learn from others on not only softball but on life, having a connection with my team is very important to me because these are the people who you are going to be with everyday, from when you wake up till when you go to bed.  I strive to be someone teammates and coaches can rely on and trust, either from there personal lives to when there is a tight game and the coach puts me on the mound.  Also I love to learn and get help, I am a very coachable player (except for my dad), when someone helps me with little or big changes that we can try and practice, that is the best feeling in the world.  I like to think of myself as someone who as a very positive and happy personality, but also someone who can when it's time focus and be serious.  Softball is my whole life, and it has been my happiness since I played t-ball and I cannot imagine my life without playing it for the next 4 years.
