Being a three sport athlete throughout high school in golf, basketball and softball has allowed me to focus on my individual contributions as well as how I contribute to making my team successful. The three sports that I participate in have each allowed me to work on different aspects of myself as well as what it means to be a good teammate. Softball is my true passion and being behind the plate for my team is a place where I can control the outcome for the team not only by working with the pitcher but also directing traffic in the field. I continue to refine my softball skills throughout the high school offseason by playing on a traveling club team, Minnesota Elite 18U. I was All-Conference Honorable mention in softball as a sophomore and 2nd team All-Conference as a junior. We were Regional Champions in the playoffs. In golf my junior year our team made it to sectionals. I have been a 3 year varsity starter for the basketball team.
I am a senior at St. Croix Central High School in Hammond, WI. I take a rigorous course load and have a 3.99 GPA. I am involved in additional extracurricular activities such as National Honors Society, Students Offering Support, and FBLA. I am looking for a college where I can continue to be challenged academically. I would like to study a subject that allows me to help others - possibly pediatric nursing or sports psychology.
The friendships and structure that being on the softball team gives to me are the reasons why I want to play in college. I am a highly competitive person and enjoy being in an environment where everyone is invested in getting better and winning as a team.
