I have been fortunate enough to have played or been around softball my entire life. Being a part of this sport has helped develop me as a person. I grew up around softball since my dad was a college softball coach for 14 years, so that made loving softball easy. As a player, I have always wanted to be the person on the team that could step up to the plate and make the big play for my team. In my younger years, I struggled with hitting, so I started going to batting lessons to help make myself better. That work I put in paid off when my club team went to Nationals. That weekend I was thrown into hard spots in the lineup where it was up to me to be the one to step up and make the play.
I am hardworking, dedicated and a positive teammate who wants to be apart of a school that is beneficial for me academically as well as on the softball field. Because I have played so many different positions on the field, including catcher, shortstop, second and third bases, I would be a great asset to any team.
