January 2018 Personal Statement
Hi my name is Kasie Keyes and I am a left handed power hitter. I played Varsity as a Freshman, starting centerfielder, batted 310, top 5 in RBIs, led the team in doubles with 12! My sophomore year, I earned the starting shortstop position. I led the team in doubles again with 9, top 3 in batting average with .409. I have been playing softball since I could walk. My mom and sister both played Division I softball and I would really like to follow in their footsteps. I am looking for a college in the Midwest and want to study the Health Sciences, along the lines of Nursing. I have worked hard to reach my goals and have been dedicating my time to strength and conditioning as long as I have been playing softball. I would be fulfilling a life long dream if I could compete at the college level in women’s softball. My families' support and encouragement in both athletics and academics has motivated me to become successful in everything I do.
