My name is Alix McCarthy. I am currently a junior at Waterloo High School. I have been playing club/travel softball for 8 years now. But I started playing machine pitch softball when I was 5-years-old. My primary position for club is 2nd base, although I can play anywhere in the outfield, catch, and middle infield. I am willing to play wherever I am needed to help out my team.
The thing I like most about softball is the connections I have made with the other girls and coaches throughout my career. Softball has expanded my social life and helped with my social skills and has played a very important role in me becoming a more confident person. I would love to earn a degree while still playing softball in college.
Since I have been in High School, I have participated in 2 years of softball, one being a starter on Junior Varsity and the other starting on Varsity. I am currently active in FFA, FBLA, Patriots Club, PALC (Pirate Athletic Leadership Council), math meet, and student council.
