2024 SpotlightPersonal Statement
Hi Coaches, my name is Isobell Kerckaert. I am currently a Junior at Buffalo High School in Buffalo, Wyoming. I started playing little league baseball with the boys when I was about 5 years old, because softball was not available. Lucky for me in sixth grade a softball team was started by my friends mom, who was a college softball player. I immediately fell in love with softball, and it has been my goal to play college softball ever since.
Softball has allowed me to make new friends and travel to many places like Texas, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Colorado, and the most exiting, Florida, where I played 1st Base for the 14-U All American Games where my team won the championship.
When I’m not playing softball, I’m playing varsity volleyball and varsity basketball for my high school. My coaches have always said that I have a natural ability, I am easily coachable, a focused player, and that I thrive in high stress situations. I try to always have a positive attitude even when behind by keep my teammates encouraged.
I feel that I could make a positive impact in your lineup right now. I’m currently undecided about what to study in college and looking forward to meeting you Coach.
