Hello, my name is Rayna Lollar, I am 15 years old. I’m a Sophomore at Sheridan High School. I began playing softball at the age of five and fresh out of kindergarten and played every summer since, allowing my love for the sport to grow. Whether on or off the field I'm a passionate player of the game. Coaches past and present have mentioned my coachability and my IQ on the field. I appreciate criticism, whether it's from coaches, teammates, or someone willing to give me a few tips. Though often hard on myself I work to succeed in everything I do. Besides my tendency to be shy, I try my best to be supportive and a hard worker for my team. What drew me to the game was working with a variety of people and personalities, softball allows for a kind and encouraging environment, making the game much more enjoyable. My losses and victories throughout the years have grown my ability to keep a positive attitude in and out of the game, expand my determination and grow my self-confidence. As well as learning to push through even though it’s challenging, such as the three years I’ve been playing competitive traveling and placed in the top three, at the Wyoming state tournament. I’m a strong utility player and work to thrive in nearly any position I’m put in, but my main positions are 1st and outfield.
Each day I strive to be the best student in school, bringing my lessons and knowledge from the field to the classroom and everyday situations. My family always supports everything I choose to do in life, giving me many more fantastic opportunities, and helping me accomplish everything I have.
I plan to find the best fitting school for me that is also able to push me to be the best athlete, student, and person I can be. I hope I can find a school to support me in my dream of working somewhere in the medical field. I hope one day I’ll be able to be an important asset to my future team, learn something new each day, and work to give 110%!
