Dear Coach,
My name is Annamarie Tucker from Mesa Arizona and I am writing to you because of my interest in playing basketball in college. I come from a family of five children. Each of my siblings are very different. A brother is a professional athlete who graduated from a top college, another brother has multiple disabilities, one sister is a genius and the other a model and broadcaster. Growing up in a family that is varied has made me appreciate the differences in others and how essential team work is.
Just to tell you a little bit about myself and basketball. I have been a point guard on my school team and a versatile player on my club team playing the 1,2 or 3, and some times the 4. Freshman year, I was a member of the Casteel varsity team that made the final 4, and as point guard, I lead my Freshman team to an undefeated record. I lead in assists and 3 point shot percentage. I was the captain and point guard at Eastmark H.S., and have made 50 percent of my three point shots at Eastmark. This coming year I am looking forward to training and playing with the best in the state at Arizona Compass Prep.
As a student, I am a hard worker, currently I have a 3.75 GPA and earned an A in my AP History class this first quarter. I will be taking my SAT my Junior year. My academic strength is math and I am interested in studying business and marketing.
Respectfully,
Annamarie Tucker
