Maya Cobb '22 Recruiting Profile

My name is Maya Cobb. I am a 2022 shooting guard/point guard; although i also am able to play down low. My quick reflexes and peripheral eyesight allow for me to get frequent steals and see open players on the court. My strongest features as a player are my hard attacks and quick defensive skills. Often my coaches will look to me to help boost the energy of my team when it is low. My team considers me to be the “hype beast”. I believe that with positive energy and a determined mindset players can achieve any goal they desire.

Something that I have learned about myself through basketball was that basketball isn’t just a game where only 10 people can be on the court and try to put the ball through the hoops. Basketball is about teamwork, friendships, family, work ethic, and so much more. I learned that personally I play so much better when I'm playing with people I trust and can have fun outside of practice. I learned that you can see the game in a whole different perspective when you're in the right environment; being in the right environment can help a player grow tremendously as a player and also as a person.
