My parents are a big influence on my life. They push me to be my best and support me 100%. I became interested in my sport, when I saw that my elementary school was having tryouts. I was an inactive student at the time, so I asked my parents to sign me up. I wasn’t the best player, but I grew to love the game of basketball and decided to stick with it.
The sport has taught me good sportsmanship. I have also learned what it truly means to be committed to the game of basketball. I was also taught what it means to work together with my teammates in order to be successful.
Academically my goals are to have an unweighted GPA of 4.0. My college academic goals are to receive good grades in my classes and to be one of the top students of my class. In addition, earning a bachelors degree is very important to me. Having a bachelors degree will set a good foundation for a successful lifestyle.
During my basketball career I’ve had to face obstacles of coaches not believing in me, and holding me back due to my body type. However, that has not destroyed my passion for the game, nor has it stopped me from playing the sport that I love. I am aggressive on the floor and willing to put in the work or whatever it takes to help my team win. My schools third championship is on the line and willing and ready to do whatever it takes to win a third championship title.
