I started playing basketball at the age of 4 and have been playing every year since, and have always been a starter. Before entering my Freshman year of Junior High the varsity high school coach went to the board of administration to get approval for me to play varsity as a Freshman. In Benton, AR 9th grade is Junior High so I had to be approved to play on the varsity basketball team, and I was the first female athlete to play varsity basketball as a 9th grader.
