Let me start off by saying that I didn't start with a coach in Jr High that believed in me or so I thought. I sat the bench my entire year of 8th grade, so I decided that I would do everything I could to play the next year. I got a lot better but I was still not getting any play time. Finally, I realized what I was doing wrong all this time. I stepped out of my comfort zone and had the best game of my life. I realized what my coach was looking for, and from that moment on, I couldn't get enough playing or practice time. The obstacles I have had to overcome have all been within myself, allowing myself to mess up and know that it is okay, and to learn from it, also to never hold back. I learned to leave everything out on the court, and walk away with my head up, no matter the turnout.
Athletically, my high school goal is to play varsity as a sophomore. I have more academic goals for high school, such as being bilingual when I graduate high school. I would like to graduate as a member of the National Honor Society. Also, when I graduate high school, I would like to have a few college hours under my belt, such as college algebra.
