Jasmine Rachal '18 Recruiting Profile

Growing up I have always dreamed of playing in a huge arena in front of friends, fans and family, but with that dream I knew that hard work was extremely necessary and that is exactly what I have done for the past 10 years. I have trained with many coaches, but mainly I have trained with Kenroy Jarrett 6-7 days a week since the age of 6. My biggest dream is to play on a D1 team that pushes me to the best player I can be and a team that has no limit. Currently I play for Jeff Sink at Brea Olinda High School and being apart of such a talent program has made me realize that nothing is given on any team no matter what your skill level is every minute on the floor is earned and I can guarantee that I as a player will do nothing but work hard and be a continuous leader on and off the court. In my opinion I'm different from most athletes in a myriad of ways, first off I have a very intense and competitive spirit and I will do anything and everything to win, also I am a big communicator on the court on both ends of the flooring lastly, leadership has become a very big part of my game the last few years. On the other hand, off the court I always have put academics first and have always worked hard in the classroom for the grades that I have. I have played and trained with many athletes that just strive for the needed GPA to play but in my book that has never been my goal, I've made it very important to strive above and beyond and take challenging classes and to do the very best of my abilities each and every school year.
