Ireland-Sky O’Leary '20 Recruiting Profile

There is a different sort of feeling when you step onto the court with 2 minutes to go in the fourth, in a close game. The one thing you want to do is score the winning bucket, but you have 4 other teammates on the floor that you trust more than anybody in that exact moment. I have been playing basketball since first grade with an unlimited amount of dedication and love for this incredible sport. I am hardworking and dedicated and will do the job for any coach in any situation he/she puts me in. I fell in love with the game so quickly, and this game has given me nothing but love in return. I love being a part of a team, and teammates create some of the best friendships of all time. I am interested in studying criminology/criminal Jutice and pshycology. Throughout high school I have maintained above a 3.0 average despite hardships and struggles. I struggle with anxiety and depression and basketball gives me an outlet from that. Something I pride myself on Is playing for something greater than myself.  I play for my Brother, and those who do not have the chance to play this game, I play for those who can not walk, run, and jump, I go to battle for those who can’t but wish to.
