Hello, my name is Khilena Hofmann and I am a passionate basketball player. I started playing at the age of 9 in the fourth grade and went on to play in middle school. After our 6th grade season, I won the hardest working award out of a team full of 8th graders. In the beginning of my 9th grade year, our varsity team played in a fall league and I was one out of seven freshman to get a outstanding player trophy and was one of the leading scorers for our team of 14.3 points per game. At the end of my sophomore season I was awarded MVP and most points scored of our team. What I have learned about myself while playing this sport is I am a team player and I'm not selfish with the ball. I try my hardest to give my team open looks but I know when it comes down to it, I have to help my teammates and improve individually.
I plan on graduating high school and going to college for Athletic Training. One thing I am willing to do is go to a two year community college then transfer to a University. A skill I have is growing bonds with team mates so that we have better chemistry on the court. I feel if you don't have a good relationship with your teammates it will cause mistakes on the court by simply a lack of communication. Many other things can go wrong which can cause turnovers, missed points, and even losses so that's why I feel you should have a good bond with your team mates. I feel I am a good candidate for a college team because I want to succeed, I am a team player, and I know the game of basketball.
