Preet Gill '20 Recruiting Profile

My name is Preet Gill, I play as a Center/Forward at Oakmont High School, in Roseville and YBA an AAU Club in Rocklin, California. I want an opportunity to play basketball in College and I can be a key contributor to the team. I started playing basketball 4 years ago. Each day has made me a better and a stronger player. I still have a lot of room to grow and learn. I am very coachable, accountable and reliable. I am committed to my game and my education. I am very open to change and I can adapt easily to make my team a first priority. I believe team work is the key to success. I have great respect for my teachers and coaches because they help me get better everyday as a person and as a player. I usually average 10-12 rebounds per game and score 10-12 points with my hight school team and in AAU I average 8-10 rebounds and 6-10 points per game.

My cumulative GPA is 4.34 and as a student at Oakmont High School I am a part of an amazing program called The Health Careers Academy. In the Health Academy we have opportunities to volunteer in the hospitals and acquire summer internships . I also take IB and AP classes to challenge myself along with the academy. I do volunteer work at basketball camps where I help run camps for little children. I love to work and interact with kids and I want to be a pediatrician. I am a teachers assistant for developmentally challenged kids and I find joy while working with them. I have won several academic and sports awards. I am a team Captain at Oakmont High School. Last year I got an award for the most admired high school player at YBA and it really touched my heart. I want to be a good role model for younger girls.
