In my life I’ve always had myself as my number one competitor. Whether it is in sports, instruments, girl scouts or academics. Over the pandemic I made sure to train myself to try to be the best person I could become.
I practiced basketball, took coding camps, and learned many new piano pieces. I quickly picked up how to play the guitar. But what I really learned to love (second to basketball) is piano.
Playing the piano reminds me of playing basketball. A piano piece can start off slowly, or at a quick pace. Just like a basketball game. I like to connect them because when I play the piano I think about how similar the two are. To me, playing different keys on the piano all at once signifies players on a team. The music that the piano makes goes well together. Creating a chemistry with each key, which creates the music. That music becoming team chemistry in games.
