Basketball has been an important part of my life since I started playing in 4th grade. My attraction to the game grew as I gained skill and knowledge, so much that my dream is to play at the college level. I have been told by several coaches that I am a very smart player. I learn quickly and am a supportive teammate and a steadying influence on the court.
My role as one of the more experienced players on my high school team has always been to lead in an uplifting way and support the other players. At my small school, it is critical to have a positive team culture to encourage more girls to play.
I'm looking for a college program to which I can contribute while benefitting from practicing and playing with highly skilled players. I take instruction well and look forward to growing as a player in ability and confidence under the guidance of the coaching staff. Academically, I plan to study business administration or something related to acquire skills that will help me succeed in my chosen career.
