Ella Duvauchelle '22 Recruiting Profile

I am very passionate about playing basketball.  My ultimate dream is to be able to play for a University, while getting a solid education and starting on a successful path in life!  I have been playing basketball since I was in the sixth grade.  I started playing basketball at recess with the boys at school, and I quickly realized that I was better than most of them!  My parents signed me up to play in our local league and each season I played, I made all-stars! I am constantly watching professional basketball/highlights and study and apply what I see to my game.  Because of my practice and dedication, I made the varsity team as a freshman, was a starting player at my high school, and earned my varsity letter in my first season.  I also received seven "player of the game" awards on MaxPreps, was honored as "best defensive player" from my coaches,  and was voted to the "All Tournament" award for the Temescal Canyon Tournament.

I know I would be a good candidate because I take the game of basketball very seriously.  I get along well with my coaches, team mates, friends and teachers.   I am an easy going person off the court, but when I get on the court, I am extremely competitive.  I am different from other recruits because I am a well- rounded athlete and person. I pride myself on my kindness, good character,  my varied interests outside of basketball, and my strong work ethic in sports and in academics. I am fortunate to have the support and guidance of a strong family, incredible friends and teachers who have encouraged me, and taught me the value of hard work and dedication both on and off the court.  All of these are reflected in my success in sports and academics.  With each year that passes, my confidence and skills have and will continue to grow.  I plan on bringing all of my heart and strength to whatever program I have the privilege to be a part of!
