Becoming a Varsity athlete my freshman year of high school , and making it to the playoffs was such an amazing start to becoming the player I am today . My high school career does not only consist of wins and opportunities to further my basketball career but also setbacks and hardships . During my sophomore year , as a team , we ended up losing in the exact same round as the year before . It was frustrating to know that I was not able to accomplish my goal of exceeding to the next round . Yet , that experience influenced me to have the mindset I have now .
I know that helping my teammate or others reach their goals , can help better myself as an athlete and as a person . Outside of athletics, academically I strive to do my best . I struggle a few times but I am always able to reach my goal in the class . My leadership , disposition , and attitude of always wanting to learn more can effect your college’s athletic program positively . I truly believe that I have the qualities to become a college student athlete , help lead and benefit your team .
